Working together with Kilpatrick school and the Shaw Trust


This November the Shaw Trust launches our new Awamu-Kilpatrick jewellery range in their Bath store.

These beautiful beads are the product of a unique partnership between our artisans in Kampala, Uganda and students at Kilpatrick School in Clydebank, Scotland.

 Every bead has a direct impact on lives across the globe – bringing income and independence to those that make them.

Sarah’s beautiful beads are rolled by hand using re-cycled paper and then varnished (lead free and water based).

Each bead is unique. Sarah uses the income she gets from her beads to feed and cloth the orphaned children in her care.

Each ceramic bead has been formed and glazed by a young person like Ryan, with additional support for learning needs.

Taking part in social enterprise gives the young people of Kilpatrick School the chance to develop a range of skills for life and work.

The Shaw Trust is showing their support for our amazing our amazing project because it helps women and children find work, gain skills and take control of their futures.
