It’s exam season in Kawempe.
Classrooms are full of energy, shared books and whispered encouragement.
Tracy, Senior 4 student and Awamu peer mentor explains:

Girls walk long distances, study late, and juggle caring for siblings or helping at home.
Many have survived difficult or unsafe situations before joining the programme. For some, school is the safest part of their lives.
With friends, family and community mentors beside them, they’re rebuilding confidence every day.
