What is #GivingTuesday?

Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving. It follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and is a chance to give back to good causes that are close to our hearts.

Around 1 in 10 of us take part each year, with millions of pounds being generously donated around the world.

When is #GivingTuesday 2018?

This year, Giving Tuesday 2018 falls on the 27th November, but of course you can make a donation at any time!

Why support Awamu?

Awamu is an international charity that works with vulnerable women and children living in extreme poverty.

By making a donation to Awamu this Giving Tuesday, you’ll help to fund our vital work helping vulnerable women and girls in the slums of Kampala, Uganda, to change their lives, helping girls to get an education, providing life-changing skills training, and supporting them to take control of their lives.

How can I get involved?

  • Send a child to school: £25 a month will ensure a child gets the education that is vital to their future. £25 a month could cover the cost of school fees, uniforms, jumpers, shoes, text books, pens and pencils for one child. Set up a gift now.

  • Start up a business; Make a donation to help women like Grace learn new skills and start their own business. Make a donation now.
